Bonita June Rodery (nee: Hughes); Age 82, of Southgate, Michigan passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026 on Grosse Ile, Michigan. She was born on January 12, 1944 to Archless M. and Hettie Hughes (nee: Allman) in Piggott, Arkansas. Bonita June has been married to George Wesley Rodery for 64 years.
Visitation will take place Sunday, 25, 2026 from 3 - 8 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, 30895 W. Huron River Road, Flat Rock, Michigan 48134.
Services for Bonita June Rodery will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor John Reilly officiating. A private burial will follow at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, Michigan.
Beloved wife of George Wesley Rodery. Dear mother of Walt (Sharon) Rodery, Wendell (Tammy) Rodery, and Wynell (Tom) Seaman. Proud grandmother of Heather (Scott) Carpeaux, Travis (Marissa) Rodery, Nathanial Seaman and Natasha Seaman. Great grandmother of Payton Carpeaux and Easton Carpeaux. Sister of Elaine Mobley. Pre-deceased by her parents, 3 brothers and a sister.
A luncheon will take place following the funeral services (after 12:30 PM) at Beacon Baptist Church, 32721 Northline Road, Taylor, Michigan 48180.
